The base for TLH Heliskiing is the newly renovated Tyax Wilderness Resort, on the shores of beautiful Tyaughton Lake, approximately 125 miles (200 km) north of Vancouver, British Columbia. New for 2011 guests will be picked up in Vancouver and driven up the scenic Sea to Sky Highway to Pemberton (2.5hrs from Vancouver). From here guests will board our air transfer for a short 30 minute flight up to the lodge. TLH operates in the South Chilcotin Mountains which is the transition zone between the Coastal Mountains and the dry rolling Fraser Plateau. We have the best of both worlds - magnificent mountains, an abundance of dry powder snow and plenty of sunshine. To date we have in excess of 300 named and mapped runs in an area of 830,000 acres.
