Appreciating that our clients travel a long way – we
try and make it as easy as possible for you once you arrive.
Here’s what to expect once you arrive in Vancouver
International Arrival to Canada
- Please be sure to pack your
ski/board boots as carry-on luggage. In the event of lost
luggage, we can always assist you with locating other
outerwear, but happy feet make happy heliskiers !!
- Please insure that you have all the necessary documentation.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Downtown
Vancouver
- Budget approximately CAD $35 per
taxi.
- Upon request, TLH can pre-book a limousine for your Vancouver
transfers.

Pre and Post heliskiing hotels in Vancouver
- ALL guests are strongly encouraged
to book a pre-heliskiing night at one of our recommended
Vancouver hotels. This ensures that you are on our schedule
and therefore our responsibility.
- Choose your post heliskiing hotel room based on your travel
plans, either downtown at the Fairmont Waterfront or at the
Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel.
Departure from Vancouver to TLH Heliskiing
By Ground & Air
- Clients are required to meet in the
lobby of the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel at 08h30 for an 08h45
departure
- Travel time to lodge can be as short as 3 hours. Guests will be driven to nearby Pemberton (2.5 hrs North of Vancouver or 30 minutes from Whistler). From here guests will board our air transfer for the final 30 minute flight to the resort. If there are large groups inbound please note that there may be short waiting times in Pemberton at the comfortable Mount Currie Coffee Company
By Helicopter or SkiPlane (Friday only)
- Clients are required to meet at the Vancouver Harbour Heliport, 455 Waterfront Road, unless informed otherwise in your itinerary
- Guests will be informed if weather
will permit the heli-transfer or whether we will be
transferring via bus due to poor weather
- Travel time to lodge: 1 hour

Skiing and Boarding Days
-
On your first day, your guide will
instruct you on the use and care of the electronic Avalanche
Transceiver. Everyone has an opportunity to practice several
searches. Afterwards, you meet your pilot at the helicopter
and go through a helicopter safety briefing. Your group will depart the lodge daily at 09h15.
- Mini water bottles are provided in each helicopter. If
you have a personal water bottle or hydration device, we
encourage you to bring it. Lots of vertical makes for thirsty
skiers and boarders.

Please Note: Skiing/riding on Fridays
generally ends at noon. We will do our best to meet guests
desires to ski or ride more if possible, however, most Fridays
we will finish at noon.

We aim to eat as well as we
play.

Check-out day at the Lodge
Departure from TLH Heliskiing to Vancouver
By Air & Ground
- Clients on 4,5 and 7 day packages will depart at
approximately 13h30 and arrive back in Vancouver between 16h15 and 19h00
- Clients on 3 day packages will depart by bus at
approximately 15h00 and arrive back in Vancouver approx 21h00
By Helicopter or Ski Plane (Friday only)
- Guests leave after a ½ day skiing
on Friday and a full day skiing on Monday.
- Monday transfers are only confirmed
once you are at the lodge. Skiing takes priority with
helicopters over transfers.
- If bad weather, all guests return
to Vancouver by bus.
- Travel time to Vancouver: 1 hour
International Departures from Canada
- We strongly encourage our clients
to follow our itinerary and to book their international
flights departing Vancouver the day after their trip ends.
Your heli-ski experience will be maximized with this
program.
- Arrangements can be made for clients to connect with international
flights on Friday evenings after 18h00. In
this case, we cannot guarantee the chance to ski on Friday
morning and additional charges will apply.
- TLH can pre-book a limousine for your transfer to the airport.
