Here’s what to expect once you arrive in Vancouver
Please be sure to pack your ski/board boots as carry-on
luggage. In the event of lost luggage, we can always assist
you with locating other outerwear, but happy feet make happy
heliskiers !!
Please insure that you have all the necessary documentation.
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Downtown
Vancouver
Budget approximately CAD $35 per taxi.
Upon request, TLH can pre-book a limousine for your Vancouver
transfers.
Pre and Post heliskiing hotels in Vancouver
ALL guests are strongly encouraged to book a pre-heliskiing
night at one of our recommended Vancouver hotels. This ensures
that you are on our schedule and therefore our responsibility.
Choose your post heliskiing hotel room based on your travel
plans, either downtown at the Pan Pacific Hotel or at the
Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel.
Departure from Vancouver to TLH Heliskiing
By Bus
Clients are required to meet in the lobby of the Pan Pacific
Hotel at 08h30 for an 08h45 departure
Travel time to lodge is approximately 6hrs with a couple
of stops for leg stretching and refreshments.
By Helicopter (Friday and Mondays only)
Clients are required to meet in the lobby of the Pan
Pacific Hotel at 08h30 for an 08h45 departure (your bags
will go to the lodge by bus)
Guests will be informed if weather will permit the heli-transfer
or whether we will be transferring via bus due to poor weather
Travel time to lodge: 1 hour
Check-in at the Lodge
Upon arrival at the lodge, you will
attend an informal welcome session to meet the TLH crew
and to run through the daily schedule. At this time we
will also explain our liability waiver form which ALL
guests must sign prior to skiing or boarding with us.

Skiing and Boarding Days
On your first day, your guide will
instruct you on the use and care of the electronic Avalanche
Transceiver. Everyone has an opportunity to practice several
searches. Afterwards, you meet your pilot at the helicopter
and go through a helicopter safety briefing. The first
groups in each helicopter depart the lodge daily at 09h15.
Mini water bottles are provided in each helicopter. If
you have a personal water bottle or hydration device, we
encourage you to bring it. Lots of vertical makes for thirsty
skiers and boarders.
Please Note: Skiing/riding on Fridays generally ends at noon.
We will do our best to meet guests desires to ski or ride
more if possible, however, most Fridays we will finish at
noon.
Down Days
On average we experience one-half down
day per week.
Down day activities include snow shoeing, XC skiing, board
games, fitness room facilities, massage services or any
relaxing activity that works best for you.
Meals We aim to eat as well as we play.
A buffet breakfast is served daily
at 07h30. One of our guides informs you of the day's weather
forecast, snow conditions and specific departure times
for each group.
Lunch is a relaxed outdoor picnic-style affair in the
mountains. Enjoy a hearty lunch of home-made soup, sandwiches
and dessert, accompanied by hot and cold drinks.
Join your guides, group or new friends at 19h00 in the
dining room for dinner.
Check-out day at the Lodge
We ask that ALL guests have their bags
packed and to be checked out of their rooms in the morning
before you depart for your last day of skiing or boarding.
Upon your return from skiing there's plenty of time to
shower and change into your travelling clothes.
Departure from TLH Heliskiing to Vancouver
By Bus
Clients will depart at approximately 16h30 and arrive
back in Vancouver at approximately midnight (00h00)
Travel time to Vancouver: 6 hours
By Helicopter (Friday and Mondays only)
Guests leave after a ½ day skiing on Friday
and a full day skiing on Monday.
Monday transfers are only confirmed once you are at
the lodge. Skiing takes priority with helicopters over
transfers.
If bad weather, all guests return to Vancouver by bus.
Travel time to Vancouver: 1 hour
International Departures from Canada
We strongly encourage our clients to follow our itinerary
and to book their international flights departing Vancouver
the day after their trip ends. Your heli-ski experience
will be maximized with this program.
Arrangements can be made for clients to connect with international
flights on Friday evenings after 18h00. In
this case, we cannot guarantee the chance to ski on Friday
morning and additional charges will apply.
TLH can pre-book alimousine for your transfer to the airport.
